The thing about using two hit counters on my Web page(s) is that I no longer trust either of them. So I go along and keep the Weblog, confident that at least a few friends are reading it--and a stranger or two, based on emails I've gotten--but with no idea whether I'm getting ten hits or a hundred in any given time period.

I do check YAWL most every day, as well as your journal. If you pinged weblogs.com upon updating, it would be most convenient (I use blogtracker to follow a bunch of weblogs) but I still check manually.

I do ping, when I remember (which is most of the time). This is all manual, for the moment at least--editing by hand, too.

perhaps I don't have the latest info for you in my blogtracker list; I'll do a search and try to find the url listed for you.

re counters, I really like having the referers thing from Sean Nolan because the stats package that comes on my server doesn't seem to work for referer info, and it's always fun to see how people find me.
