While there's no rule preventing people from posting to their journals, or to communities, in all caps, there's also no rule requiring me to read those posts. (That said, if people were doing so in communities I had created/have any contol over, I probably would make such a rule.)

The people in 42answers seem entirely civilized and sensible, and inwoodhillpark seems to, in practice, be a place for me to post about every eight months.

I find it disconcerting that most of the students on the university's course discussion boards don't bother with capital letters, or proper punctuation. I guess they're of the txt msg generation, but it must make writing academic essays harder if properly written English is not your normal mode of written communication.
