I'm switching computers

cattitude did a lot of the work, there are still a variety of fiddly bits to be sorted out, starting with why Eudora doesn't want to download my email (I can read email, but I have to use the Web mail client--or, once I get around to re-installing that, ssh via PuTTy.) and proceeding to what other software I still need to (re)install.
If you urgently need to reach me, the telephone is probably the best bet. including whether Trillian can be made to behave, and how to reliably turn animation off in Firefox.
