I am being a grown-up.

In this case, that means I am being sensible, and admitting that I'm not over the bronchitis yet, and that it would not be a good idea for me and cattitude to go to Boston tomorrow to visit adrian_turtle. I want to go. I miss her, and I want Cattitude to meet her. But we'd probably all regret it if we got on a bus late tomorrow afternoon, and stayed up until midnight. I certainly would.

No, I didn't cough badly walking to or from the drugstore this afternoon (with a stop for lunch after picking up my prescription, both because I needed to eat and to rest a little while). But I was quite tired by the time Cattitude got home this evening.

my current opinion is that grownups should have ice cream. or sherbet, if they like that better.

You have my respect for being a grown-up about it. I am sure you were wiser to stay home. It's hard to give up a treat, though!

I wish I didn't need to stay home, but unfortunately, it's clearly the right thing to do.
