Maybe 7.5 out of 10 today

cattitude and I met our friend L for last-minute dim sum even though I wasn't going to the gym. It was good to get out, but the dim sum wasn't as good as I'd hoped, and while I was glad to see her it wasn't as relaxing as I'd sort of expected. Also, we didn't get clementines, because the only ones we saw in Chinatown were Californian and pricey (I want Moroccan or Spanish clementines). I'll try someplace like Fairway tomorrow or Tuesday--I'm not going in there on a Sunday afternoon in December. But we got butter and muffin cups, both of which we were completely out of, and there's some layer cake that was forced on Cattitude last night as leftovers from a building Christmas party when he walked through the lobby during clean-up.
I also did a bit of copyediting today, but found myself getting grumpy enough after my first pass that I stopped.
ETA: Also, my Palm, which had been refusing to sync for no obvious reason for several days, sync'd in the normal, straightforward fashion this morning. (It had been saying that it couldn't establish the connection to the desktop. We'd checked and reseated both ends of the cable, with no result. This morning, I told it to sync more out of habit than expectation, having changed nothing in the interim, and it's fine. For the moment, at least. It's been dropped too many times, and is not a well machine.
