that LJ-crush thing

It transpires that, having collected all these data, the creator is now selling them. Specifically, they'll tell you free how many people have a crush on you--and for a small fee in America they'll tell you who.

Well, it says .5 of you have a secret crush on me. If you want to tell me, you can--but it seems rude to grab that info, which was probably provided in the expectation that it would stay secret.

Do people who tell things to strangers on the Internet really have an expectation of secrecy?

Seems optimistic to me.

Haha. One whole person has a secret crush on me. I have no idea who, and I don't want to.

How can half a person have a crush on you?

I think it's a whole person, but half a crush. But it could be two people, one quarter crush each.

It means someone did the meme twice and changed their answer.

I don't know -- I tried entering the name of one person I know and was told
3.85714 people have a Secret Crush
2.14286 people have a Public Crush
Maybe it would make sense if I'd seen the questionnaire, but it does sound odd!
