New community: Contented Aunts

This arose from a discussion in catamorphism's journal, about the distinction between people who are happy to be childfree--but like children and are glad to have one or more children in our lives--and people who dislike children.

If you're happy to be an aunt or uncle, by blood or choice, you might want to join. contented_aunts is open and unmoderated. It's a place to talk about being an aunt/uncle. I'd like this to be as open as possible: if you're happily an aunt now and might have children later, or your children are grown but your younger sibling has made you an uncle, and feel like hanging out here, that's fine too.

What about those of us who are not especially happy to be childless but still really like having niblings, both courtesy and otherwise?

I hadn't thought about that, but now that you ask, I'd say yes, this community can include you if you want to be there and like the idea of hanging out with other people who are aunts/uncles and not parents.
