So, I'm getting this Jack Layton t-shirt. I still agree with the comment on that shirt, and it feels like I need it, in these times when hope and optimism seem difficult, and there's much to be afraid of.

I'd placed a tentative order, for if/when it was reprinted, and then forgot about it. Teespring just emailed to say it's being printed; I can cancel if I no longer want the shirt, and if anyone else wants one, you have until ~~Friday~~ about 11 pm Thursday EST to order.

(Yes, it's bright orange, because it's the NDP.)

John Gilbert "Jack" Layton PC (July 18, 1950 – August 22, 2011) was a Canadian politician and Leader of the Official Opposition. He was leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) from 2003 to 2011, and previously sat on Toronto City Council, occasionally holding the title of acting mayor or deputy mayor of Toronto during his tenure as city councillor. He was the Member of Parliament for Toronto—Danforth from 2004 until his death.

The other relevant point here is that this was is from Layton's last public statement, written less than 48 hours before he died of cancer.

There are worse choices you could have made. Far worse.

The comment about the color is that this will be literally the only orange garment I own: I generally wear blue, green, and purple, and stopped buying red things because I never actually wear them, however nice they seem in the shop.

I own one orange t-shirt and I actually do wear it. But that's because it's from a Trans group.

I love this shirt (and am fascinated by their 'fit finder') and oh wish it were in the budget. Oh well (I may reconsider given that one can buy it until Friday - when I get paid).
