"Kaddish for the Last Survivor"

The Hugo-nominated stories are available online. I printed out Ted Chiang's novella, then started reading short stories. The second I came to is
Michael Burstein's "Kaddish for the Last Survivor". http://www.analogsf.com/0107/KaddishSurvivor.html

Some fiction hits close to home. This did, for me.

I'm going to take a few deep breaths, now, and think about my own grandfather, and the stories I didn't hear growing up.

Sigh. Just followed the link and dumped it to print, but haven't read it yet. Anything with "Kaddish" in the title sounds heavy, and I'm all too familiar with saying Kaddish these days. Thanks for the pointer tho' -- I'll let you know what I think about the story when I nerve myself up to read it.

Are you going to Readercon??
