Just to clarify - the thing that makes this particular LJ meme more interesting than most is that the questions _are_ tailored especially to you. Unless the person who you've asked to interview you is lazy and doesn't bother to do so.

Nope. I've done two sets, but that's in part because I thought the people involved would ask interesting questions; I'm stopping, because I don't think my questions are as interesting or prose-productive.
It depends; I'm actually mildly intrigued to see what questions I might get from people who know me a certain range of well, far more so than either people who know me better or people who do not know me well.

I don't get most LJ memes, frankly. I look at them and feel instantly a sense of profound tedium. This doesn't mean I don't want to read other people's responses, because I don't mind at all. But I don't want to do them.
Considering that the vast majority of things from Quizilla appear to have been written by high school students, I'm always amazed when someone posts a meme that's literate, intelligent, and shows some understanding of human nature (also orthography).
I don't normally do memes, and I haven't until now dones this one, but it -is- more interesting to me than the average, partially because I -don't- post very often (and because there are a lot of people I view on LJ who don't know me -that- well).
I don't though I think this particular exercise has more going for it than most of the memes I've seen. I assume people indulge in these things because they want to post something and the latest meme is less effort than nutting out a couple of paragraphs.
Actually, your original question and the responses it's received indicate this meme has truly, truly arrived -- there's now a backlash. Hah!
