Am I the only person I know on LiveJournal who doesn't want one of their friends to send them a bunch of interview questions?

Nope.
Although if someone who I think would ask REALLY interesting questions offers, I might.

[identity profile] laurelo.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 10:47 am (UTC)(link)
No, you are not.

[identity profile] dakiwiboid.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'd much rather get something tailored especially to me. If there's something people want to know, they can ask me! For instance..."How long have you been an apteryx, and how can you type so fast with that beak?"

[identity profile] tammylc.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:25 am (UTC)(link)
Just to clarify - the thing that makes this particular LJ meme more interesting than most is that the questions _are_ tailored especially to you. Unless the person who you've asked to interview you is lazy and doesn't bother to do so.

[identity profile] filkerdave.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 01:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Coming up with the proper quiestions is surprisingly difficult.

That's why I've been asking them only in groups of 2 LJers at a clip

interview questions

[identity profile] pir-anha.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 10:52 am (UTC)(link)
heck, no. but then i don't get what people think is so nifty about most so-called LJ "memes".

though i can conceivably see questions being very interesting to think about, i don't know that the term "interview question" brings up that sort of question for me.

[identity profile] teddywolf.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. Seeing as how my comment is the fifth, I get to say this:
"You are Number 6."

[identity profile] roadnotes.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. I've done two sets, but that's in part because I thought the people involved would ask interesting questions; I'm stopping, because I don't think my questions are as interesting or prose-productive.

[personal profile] lcohen 2003-06-05 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
is that an interview question? <g>

i'm totally not in this space, so no, you are not the only one.

[identity profile] rysmiel.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
It depends; I'm actually mildly intrigued to see what questions I might get from people who know me a certain range of well, far more so than either people who know me better or people who do not know me well.

[identity profile] minnehaha.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all. I'm sure there are a lot of us. (We're the ones who aren't answering lists of interview questions.)

Right now, no thanks - but you could ask me again next year :-)

[identity profile] porcinea.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:45 am (UTC)(link)
Questions!!! I hate questionsssssssss.

[identity profile] ailsaek.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
Not me either. I haven't even been reading the interviews produced. No idea why, but this one just doesn't do it for me.

[identity profile] elynne.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:57 am (UTC)(link)
Evidently not. ;) I'm not sure if I'm into it or not, but I just subjected myself to the meme, and will be posting replies soon. I find it interesting to think up answers. Um... and stuff.

[identity profile] truepenny.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god no. The very word "interview" makes me want to run shrieking into the night.

[identity profile] supergee.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
Me neither, though I may wind up doing a magpie post replying to questions my friends have been asked.

I don't get most LJ memes, frankly. I look at them and feel instantly a sense of profound tedium. This doesn't mean I don't want to read other people's responses, because I don't mind at all. But I don't want to do them.

The quizzes are pretty much uniformely lame. Very high school.

[identity profile] dakiwiboid.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Considering that the vast majority of things from Quizilla appear to have been written by high school students, I'm always amazed when someone posts a meme that's literate, intelligent, and shows some understanding of human nature (also orthography).

[identity profile] bibliotrope.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I promise not to send you any if you don't send me any!

No... I figure if my friends want to know something about me, they can ask anytime :D

one would think I post frequently enough on my journal that such a thing is hardly necessary.

I don't normally do memes, and I haven't until now dones this one, but it -is- more interesting to me than the average, partially because I -don't- post very often (and because there are a lot of people I view on LJ who don't know me -that- well).

I'm having a lot of fun coming up with questions.

[identity profile] pnh.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
(1) Do you really suppose you're the only one?

(2) When did you begin to be interested in this subject?

(3) Beige or plaid?

(4) When, and when not?

(5) Does all that is solid melt into air?

[identity profile] dakiwiboid.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
5) No, but everything that rises must converge. (Flannery O'Connor)

[identity profile] bibliotrope.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
(3) Floral

[identity profile] mactavish.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't decided yet.

[identity profile] numbat.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't though I think this particular exercise has more going for it than most of the memes I've seen. I assume people indulge in these things because they want to post something and the latest meme is less effort than nutting out a couple of paragraphs.

[identity profile] cattitude.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Questions are a burden for others, answers a prison for oneself.

[identity profile] holyoutlaw.livejournal.com 2003-06-05 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, your original question and the responses it's received indicate this meme has truly, truly arrived -- there's now a backlash. Hah!

I found it great fun to answer the questions, much harder to ask them. Originally, at least, they WERE supposed to be tailored to the person one was asking them of.

[identity profile] r-ness.livejournal.com 2003-06-06 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
At this point it seems redundant to reply, what with 34 responses. :)
