disappointed

I wasn't going to do anything today, and that was okay.

Then [livejournal.com profile] eleanor called to suggest dim sum, and I said yes; she called back about 20 minutes later to cancel, having remembered a conflicting engagement. We'll be getting together later in the week, but having washed and dressed for a social event, I'm feeling a bit down for having nowhere to go.

I'm actually pretty pissed. It would have been nice if someone, anyone had told me, since it was my job to take of the kids today. Well, we can go have dim sum during the week, when it isn't crowded.

Mmmm, dim sum. 98 Mott? Or the Silver whatsis, under the bridge? (Or somewhere completely different?)

Dreaming of yellow custard tarts....

HSF is where Redbird and I usually go.

Have you been Grand Szichuan on 9th Avenue and 51st St? It's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city just now, including Chinatown. Last time I was there I heard clucking in the kitchen; that's how fresh the chicken is.

I don't know if they do dim sum, but there are dim sum items on the appetizer menu.
