    <content type="html">Another early apple from the Greenmarket this weekend, tucked into my bag this morning and eaten cold. This is a fairly small, squat (rather than spherical) green apple:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Crunchy, juicy, a little sour, with a crisp skin. It's not bad, and I might get it again, though I prefer my apples sweeter. I ate it down to the core, but that might be partly because it was almost lunchtime.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm still waiting for the Esopus Spitzenburgs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(We have one more variety to try this week, Elstar, as well as a few more Vista Bellas, but this week's batch of vista bella are a bit mealier than the first ones we'd gotten.
