I have photo IDs for the purchase of weekly tickets for the London Underground [which may be obsolete, given Oyster Cards)
They stopped requiring photocards for the 7 day travelcard not long after I got my photocard. Last I knew, you could get a 7 day card on Oyster or paper; longer travelcards are now only available on Oyster, and the 1 and 3 day cards are only on paper. (There is a daily Oyster fare cap system which will cost less than a 1 day card if you use Oyster Pre-Pay, but this does not work on most National Rail services, even those that would be perfectly happy to let you ride with a 1 day travelcard.)
