The Breton phrasing, as near as I can get it back from memory now (which has stored it in English, silly thing), it:

"No one knows what the megaliths are for. Furthermore, no one can know. We have studied and we have learned that we cannot learn enough to know what the megaliths are for. So no one knows; no one knows what the megaliths are for."

I rather liked the man who told us that.
