Gym notes

Having had some disappointing job-hunting news (or rather, news that there won't be any news right away), I decided to rearrange the position of large gray pieces of metal, even though, on the whole, it wasn't the large gray pieces of metal that were unhappy.

As I expected, it helped. I also decided that as long as I don't do anything to discourage people from going to the gym, looking forward to its being less crowded in a few weeks doesn't make me a bad person.

Cardio, 20 minutes, top heart rate 137.

Calf machine, 70 pounds, 13, 10, 13. (I'd neglected to stretch after the first set, and felt tight by the time I stopped the second. Then I stretched.)
Leg press, 280 pounds, 3 sets of 12
Adjustable row, 90 pounds, 2 sets of 15; 80 pounds, 12. When the shoulder hurts, I stop.

Crunches, 4 sets of 20
Back arch, 3 sets of 17
Tree, 4 sets of {2 on each leg}

Bicep curl, 25 pounds, 3 sets of 20
Hip adduction, 100 pounds, 2 sets of 13
Hip abduction, 55 pounds, 2 sets of 13
(Total Gym) chest press, 40 pounds, 10
