Do NOT step on the cat. Not even if he does his best to get underfoot. (I stepped on his paw yesterday as I walked in the door; fortunately, he seems unhurt, though I was still shod.)
Do not overcommit myself. (I think I'm doing okay on this one.)
Do not do Nanowrimo. (I'm doing just fine with this--it's essentially a subset of the above, and since the people engaged in the project have already started, I'm probably safe.)
Avoid excessive typing, computer solitaire, and other things that hurt my hands. (Difficult, both for work reasons and because computer games can be addictive. Being away for the weekend will probably help.)
