Every so often, I get email from zogby inviting me to be surveyed. They always start with the same questions, whether I'm registered to vote, who I voted for in 2000, a bunch like that, and they always end with demographics of age, gender, income, location, and ethnicity.
The meat is in between.
This time, they started with a bunch of questions about the Afghan war, most of which probably seemed more difficult, and more important, when the survey was constructed than they did by this afternoon.
Then there was an abrupt switch of gears, and I was being asked what political party Santa Claus belonged to, where he lived in the off-season, what job he had ditto, and his tastes in music.
Right.
Sure.
Pull the other one, it has jingle^H bells on.
But it's better than being asked if I think we should nuke Afghanistan, as they did a couple of months ago. (No, we shouldn't. It was scary that anyone was even asking that in a fairly broad opinion poll, though.)
