There are some of us who fear that Dubya and his cadre of neocons have already shown such willingness to disregard and circumvent the political process, that given another 4 years in power they may change things such that somehow there effectively IS NO 2008 election (rigged voting machines? Declare a national state of emergency due to still being in some war?).
Really, to some people this current regime gives us an impression of Germany between the wars. Ever read A Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood?
