Miscellaneous

  • The Lush lilac-scented bubble bath smells nice, but it made my palms itch. Oh, well, I probably would have had to end that bath with a shower in order to rinse my hair properly anyhow.

  • Moxy Fruvous's albums Bargainville and Live Noise make an odd segue, from the introspection of "Gulf War Song" to the satire of "Michigan Militia." (This one may make sense only to [livejournal.com profile] bohemian_coast and [livejournal.com profile] cattitude. And me, of course.)

  • The phone rang three times today: [livejournal.com profile] cattitude, [livejournal.com profile] womzilla, and [livejournal.com profile] eve99. That's a well-behaved communication device.

  • Julian really is a good tiger cub, even if he did bite me the first time I tried medicating him.

  • The people at the Greenmarket do a good meatloaf, but I suspect Julian and I may be tired of meatloaf in a couple of days. For the moment, I'm happy: meatloaf and a tomato from local farmers, and rye bread from down in Washington Heights. I like living in a big city, and one of the things I like is that there are so many good, tasty, and otherwise interesting things available.

  • The extremely cheap subscription to Smithsonian I'm getting (via a coworker) comes with a membership card, which in turn gets me into the Cooper-Hewitt Museum free (most of the Smithsonian is free to everyone). I wonder if they'll have anything I want to see in the next year.

Lush lilac-scented bubble bath
Out of curiousity, which one is that? Lilac is one of my favorite flowers/scents

Both bubbles and paperbacks or a magazine are essential for a proper bath. Must install proper reading light above bath, dear. Neck-supporting pillow, and chocolate, are desirable.

But this is fun, for a post that offered not much to see.

I wonder what would happen if I showed up when you were in that tired period before bed? Ack, probably I'd be shown the door, as would only be right. But still, this was fun. *wink*

Have you heard them do "Gulf War Song" live? I did, at the Somerville Theater; they sang it without amplification, in a theater that seats at least 500. I cried.
