Bad news travels fast

I've just learned that Hal Clement has died.

That's all the information I have--but he seemed fine at Albacon two weeks ago, putting together a slide show as he always did.

Sad. He will be missed.

I looked at the Boston Globe site - they haven't prepared an obituary yet. There is, however, this obit (http://www.legacy.com/bostonglobe/LegacySubPage2.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonId=1555650), which has an attached guest book, as well as this more extensive one (http://www.ccgfuneralhome.com/services/services.asp) at the funeral home site (listed under his home town of Milton), which has this great head shot of a smiling Hal - the way a lot of us would want to remember him.
