I saw sparrows early in the afternoon, and waited until they flew away to refill the feeder. Went out for a short walk, and my partner saw a robin across the street, looking like he was posing to be looked at (we obliged).

He also told me that the towhee that sometimes pecks at the wall under our window, sounding a bit like a woodpecker, was back.

No turkeys today.

I saw 3 robins when I was out and about today. Still a lot of snow cover here, but spring is coming.

Last week, crossing from the parking lot to the condo, I walked past THREE burly rabbits, two of whom paid me no attention at all. I told the one who ran "that's the right idea, buddy" since we have Great Horned Owls in our neighborhood.
