my misplaced kindle

I found my missing kindle--it had been in my daypack the whole time. I thought I'd checked thoroughly, but apparently not.

I put my hand on the kindle while looking for a black felt-tip pen, in order to address an envelope. (I found the pen a minute later, and the card is waiting to go out.)

Further proof that the old saw, "It's always in the last place you look," is false. Sometimes it's in a previous place you looked.

I'm glad you found it, though!

Daypacks have way too many hidden pockets and sleeves. I'm pretty sure it's where all my lost items are.

I once found avocados in my backpack pocket. Several days after going to the store. I'd rather find a kindle or a pen.

Yay!

I once found an iPad I'd been missing for two years. It had fallen out of my bag into my emergency supplies box in the back of the car. Clearly I don't update my emergency supplies often enough!
