Dr. Lazzara told me something today, as an "if this happens, we can deal with it easily, but you need to know about it."
He said there is about a 1/3 chance of a thin film growing on one of the replacement lenses. If this happens, I should call his office, and they will clean it off with a laser: he said this is quick and easy. I'm at more risk for this than some patients, because I had my cataract surgery relatively young and thus have a more robust immune system. Dr. Lazzara said he saw some signs of this in one eye; I assume that's one of the things he'll be looking at in August.
