The little plastic things to slip on dangly earrings so they don't fall out have also arrived, with a very nice note from

papersky earlier today, to confirm that the plans for while I'm visiting don't involve anything I need to dress up for--but I will probably take some nice earrings, just because I can. I got these at Minicon, and haven't had the chance to enjoy them because I was worried they'd fall out. Now I can. Also, fancy earrings, unlike much fancy clothing, don't leave me cold or pocketless, and are no more effort than simple earrings (and not much more than no earrings at all).
