Wibble

Random, and maybe it will make sense later:

I dithered about going outside with [livejournal.com profile] cattitude for a few minutes, and concluded that if I was that wobbly about deciding, I was wobbly enough that sitting still was a good idea.

We need a new refrigerator.

In the van to the railroad this afternoon, one of my cow-orders commented on having seen a dead mourning dove, and never having seen a live one close up. So I chatted a bit about mourning doves, and about the pair of dead mammals (from size, I'm guessing a parent and a young one) our van had driven around that morning, probably either opossums or raccoons. And we discussed the drop in crow and blue jay populations (both due to West Nile Virus, both recovering, but slowly).

I picked up my photos on Monday and still haven't looked at them.

ETA: I had a French martini at Rose's last night--the description I'd read didn't match the drink I got, but (a) it was reasonably tasty, and (b) [livejournal.com profile] roadnotes assures me that what I got is the usual drink by that name. Oh, and (c), it isn't technically a martini, but it does contain vodka. Also pineapple juice and raspberry liqueur--what I'd been led to expect was vodka, orange liqueur, raspberry liqueur, and I vaguely recall either orange juice or soda water. Which also sounds like a good combination--I may have to come up with a name for that and get a bartender to mix me one sometime. [livejournal.com profile] xiphias, does something like that already have a name?
