By all means. Ninth Avenue around 46th Street, which is Hell's Kitchen (sort of the west edge of midtown, near the theatre district). All sorts of cool breads, things like sourdough, rosemary, potato-scallion foccacia, multigrain this-and-that. They also do light meals, some of them vegetarian (cheese sandwiches with tomato and greens, bean soup, that sort of stuff), some not.
