redbird | Misc. updates on an ordinary Friday

mactavish have linked to the Acme chocolate registry. As I thought, I registered there a few years ago, under my real name; if anyone noticed, they weren't in a mood to buy me chocolate. Maybe I should sign up again, as Redbird, and see if my tastes have changed.

I got a call from

roadnotes's friend, and it looks promising. She likes my credentials, and we did a back-and-forth of "how much were you thinking of" and I think have a plausible number. Assuming, that is, that she decides that I'm a better choice than the other person she's talking to--but I should hear by Monday, and I gave her my mobile number in case I'm out. After we got off the phone, I said "voting trends" to myself and realized that it was an appealing, chewy phrase. Yes, I'm weird.

Apple cakelings this time; they aren't quite right, which may just mean the apple I used was too old. (They're edible, just not as good as usual.)
