I took notes right after talking to Rafiq this afternoon, which I may transcribe later.
The summary version is that he pretty definitely wants me to work for him on this project--but I won't know until November 11 or 12 whether he's gotten the contract for it. I was there for about 15 minutes, and as far as I can tell he'd decided he wanted me to work on this before I walked in the door. Now we wait and see if it happens, but if it does it could keep me happily busy for a couple of months.

roadnotes and cattitude for hot cider, pastry, and conversation, then came home and wrestled with an iffy dialup connection to catch up on Usenet, and didn't cook dinner because it seemed too complicated.
