Exercised before the storm

When I woke up this morning, my gym's website said "call your branch to check on hours" and the MBTA said they were going to keep running as long as safe/possible. So I called the Davis Square branch, and they said they were going to be open normal hours.

I headed out around 9:30; it was gray, sort of mizzling, and a bit windy, but not bad weather for waiting for a bus for a few minutes. While I was working out, I overheard someone say the MBTA was going to be shutting down at 2 p.m., which gave me about three and a half hours. Plenty of time to do a couple more exercises, walk across the street for a crepe and some tea as either a large elevenses or a very early lunch. Then home to Arlington, without a hitch; I was back indoors before noon. We have bought groceries (many of which are currently becoming beef stew) and done some laundry; Adrian is filling bottles with drinking water, just in case.

The forecast here doesn't look bad, but I will be keeping an eye on things in New York City, of course.

I decided the walk from Mass Ave. to Davis Square would count as warm-up.
