I basically spent yesterday sitting at home, playing nethack and reading Usenet, so as not to think too much about the odd grandparent-shaped hole in my life.
It's not that I loved Grandma Mia more than my other grandparents: it's that she was the last one I had left. We're still young--my mother is a world traveler who worries about her elderly mother. Not any more. I'm only two days older than I was Wednesday morning, but there's a generation gone, now.
So I sit, and drink lots of tea, and eat clementines and other moist food: yogurt, soup, that sort of thing. Mom's in town, and I'll be going downtown later, be with her and my aunts and whoever.
